RST Crypto Token Surges 22% as Thin Liquidity Raises Fresh Questions

RST crypto coin surging upwards with light trails.

Raini Studios Token (RST) has returned to traders’ attention after gaining roughly 22% in a week and about 14% in 24 hours. The move is notable because RST is a micro-cap asset with only a few hundred dollars in reported daily trading volume—and because its main associated game has already shut down.

Key takeaways

RST’s recent rally has drawn attention, but the token’s fundamentals remain uncertain.

  • RST replaced the RAINI token through a 2023 conversion completed in March 2024.
  • Its market capitalization is estimated at roughly $79,000.
  • Trading is concentrated in Uniswap’s RST/WETH and Beam Swap’s RST/WBEAM markets.
  • Raini: The Lords of Light shut down on July 21, 2025, ending several token-reward programs.
  • Any sustained recovery would likely require greater liquidity and new utility.

Why RST is suddenly moving

RST has climbed from an all-time low of approximately $0.00009895 recorded in June 2025. However, no major announcement from Raini Studios has been identified as a clear catalyst for the latest gains.

The token’s shallow markets offer a possible explanation. With combined daily volume generally measured in hundreds of dollars, relatively small trades can produce large percentage changes. That makes the rally difficult to interpret as evidence of broad investor demand.

What RST was designed to do

Raini Studios created RST as a utility token for its Web3 gaming ecosystem. Its planned uses included buying card packs, content, battle passes and LUX, a premium in-game currency. Staking and liquidity provision were also intended to generate rewards used in raffles, auctions and other activities.

The token was initially associated with Raini: The Lords of Light, a blockchain trading-card game. That title struggled to build a lasting player base and was permanently discontinued in July 2025. Play-to-earn, leaderboard and collect-to-earn RST emissions ended with the shutdown, apart from final distributions to users.

Utility remains the central question

RST was intended to support more than one game, so the closure of Lords of Light does not necessarily eliminate every possible use. Raini Studios has indicated that it is focusing on other titles, including Lucha Throwdown and Uncaged: The Jon Jones Brawler.

For RST to regain lasting value, those projects would need to create meaningful demand for the token. Existing descriptions centered on the discontinued game and older partnership plans may no longer reflect the project’s current direction.

Liquidity makes the rally especially risky

RST reportedly has about 565 million tokens circulating, while total supply is approximately 919 million and the maximum supply is listed at 1 billion. Its estimated market capitalization remains tiny compared with the token’s historical valuation.

That creates risks for both buyers and sellers. Price charts can show dramatic gains after a small purchase, while larger sell orders may cause an equally rapid collapse. Quoted prices may also be difficult to obtain when market depth is limited.

Can RST reclaim its former high?

RST reached approximately $0.1342 in March 2024. At prices near $0.00014, it remains about 99.9% below that peak. A return would require roughly a thousandfold increase, which is mathematically possible for a token with such a small valuation but economically difficult without substantial new demand.

The recent move is therefore best viewed as a speculative signal rather than confirmation of a durable turnaround. Traders watching RST should focus on sustained volume, market depth, project updates and evidence of utility—not percentage gains alone.
